Olathe Chiropractic- Dr. Jeremy L. Landry, D.C.

When I meet people in Olathe, they usually say, “Oh, I  know you. You're the doctor I've seen at fairs and events all  over town.” Well, I want to tell you a little more about me, and  why I do what I do. The guy in the picture is me, and the  beautiful girl is my wife Keri. While I was in college, I was  involved in an accident at work. I was a forklift operator, and one day while getting off of the forklift (outside during the winter), I slipped on the ice and hit my head on the fender of the forklift. I was knocked unconscious and woke up lying in a pool of ice water with blood coming out of the back of my head. After being rushed to the hospital, I was diagnosed with a concussion and released. My head hurt so bad I could barely move. My doctor told me that he could give me pain medication to minimize the pain, but he said there wasn’t a whole lot else he could do for me and that the pain would improve over time.

A couple of weeks had passed since my head injury and I began to have headaches. I began taking over the counter pain relievers and continued taking them for about 2 years. I usually had a headache at least every other day and began to accept them as a part of my daily life. 2 1/2 years into college I decided to visit a different type of doctor to see what he could do for me. After this doctor took x-rays of my neck, he determined that my neck was not in proper alignment and that the nerves in the upper part of my neck were being pinched. Oh yeah, did I tell you this doctor was a chiropractor? After my first adjustment, I didn’t have a headache for about 1 month! I continued getting regular treatments and noticed that my headaches had decreased to about 1 per month, and that my life long battle with seasonal allergies was getting easier.

So guess what career path I chose? Yes, a doctor of chiropractic! I moved to Kansas City and began my pursuit of obtaining my chiropractic degree. It is so fulfilling to see people progress with chiropractic care and to see their lives being restored. I should also mention that my wife’s long battle with chronic sinus infections and sinus headaches has completely regressed.  I absolutely love what I do and I feel so wonderful knowing that people are getting better and that they are having a new outlook on life.

My confession is that I don’t heal anyone, and I never have. I don’t treat or cure disease. Here’s how it works. I make a specific spinal adjustment to assist the nervous system to function better. It’s your body that does the healing.  Not everyone is a candidate for chiropractic care; however, that's why it's important to have a thorough examination to see if chiropractic is a great fit for you.  Many patients have tremendous results. It’s as simple as that.

According to USA TODAY, in 2005, 46.6 million Americans no longer had health insurance, and employers are requiring employees to contribute more in cost-sharing. That’s where I come in. I have a significantly lower fee so that more people are able to afford the care they need, with or without health insurance. A whole week of care in my office costs what you could pay for one visit elsewhere. In a study done by Dr. Ronald Pero, professor of medicine at New York University, it was shown that people under chiropractic care for 5 years or more had double the immune capacity of people who hadn’t received chiropractic care. This was done naturally and without drugs. The immune system fights colds, flus, and other sicknesses. So you may not be running off to the doctor as much. Studies from Senate Report 108-081 show that people actually pay less for their long-term overall health care expenses if they are seeing a chiropractor.

Hi, I'm Dr. Kris, and like Dr. Jeremy, I want to tell you a little more about me and why I do what I do.  The woman in the picture is me, and the handsome man in the picture is my fiancée Dan. When I was in college, I was involved in a horrific three-car pileup.  I was traveling to Nebraska when I was hit by a semi tractor-trailer going over 80 mph and I was pushed into another car. All of the vehicles were completely destroyed and my poor body was devastated! After being rushed to the hospital, I was diagnosed with severe tissue and nerve damage and a severe concussion; however, because no bones were broken, I was released. I hurt so badly I could barely move. The doctors told me that the only thing they could do for me was to give me pain medicine, but I would probably have to live in pain for the rest of my life. I was 19 years old.

The pain medicine altered my whole personality. I couldn't concentrate, I couldn't have conversations, and I couldn't participate in all of the activities that made me “ME.” Surely, there had to be an alternative to this. I found it. I went to see this new doctor, and he started intensely treating my spine, knees, and feet for about 9 months. And guess what? Within a short amount of time I was able to live without ANY medicine! I could continue to compete in swimming, remain in college, and eventually meet the love of my life Daniel. This doctor soon became my mentor and friend.

In watching this doctor treat his patients, and seeing their recoveries from a wide variety of symptoms, it became a passion of mine to help others just like this doctor helped me. Oh, did I forget to mention that this doctor is a chiropractor? I soon learned that there was so much more to it than back and neck pain. It was most definitely an eye opening experience; he was helping people without drugs and/or surgery.

I know that my love of chiropractic care has the ability to change many lives. I want to be able to help my family and friends have their lives back, just like my mentor gave me back mine. I have been able to do this not only for those I love, but to many other people, as well.

Here are some of my qualifications…I graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, and from Cleveland Chiropractic College with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. I am licensed in the State of Kansas, I belong to the International Chiropractic Association, the Kansas Chiropractic Association, and just recently, to you, the community of Franklin County.

We have excellent staff members and an office to make you feel at home.  Our office is called Franklin County Chiropractic and we are located at 112 E. 17th St. in Ottawa, Kansas (right across the street from Daylight Donuts).  Please call one of my staff members today to schedule your appointment, we really want to help you!

Let me tell you a little about myself. I was the child that got the awards for perfect attendance. My brothers and I rarely got a cold or the flu growing up. My background has always been very holistic. Our family grew up without the use of medications and we only received a couple vaccines. I started seeing a specialist around age 5 about every other month. He is the one who helped our family to stay healthy. He gave our bodies the opportunity to have a very resistant immune system and to heal itself. I always watched people come into his office and thought that he was so wonderful because they would be smiling when they left or walking straighter.

In watching this doctor treat his patients, and seeing their recoveries from a wide variety of symptoms, it became a passion of mine to help others just like this doctor helped me. Oh, did I forget to mention that this doctor is a chiropractor? I always have known that there was so much more to chiropractic than back and neck pain. It was most definitely an eye opening experience; he was helping people without drugs or surgery.

I knew that my love of chiropractic care has the ability to change many lives. I want to be able to help my family and friends have their lives back, just like my mentor gave me back mine. I have been able to do this not only for those I love, but to many other people, as well.

Here are some of my qualifications…I graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College with a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. I specialize in nutrition and will soon be completing my Diplomat in Nutrition. I belong to the American Chiropractic Association, Business Networking International and Lions Club. I'm here to serve you the people and help give a quality of life back to those who have lost it.

Sincerely,

Dr. Stephanie Webster, D.C.
